Neudorf Tiritiri Wild Ferment Pinot Gris 2023
A luscious, refreshing, gimme more Pinot Gris. Think white pepper, fresh green herbs and ripe mango with heaps of acidity to keep everything in check.
Harvested on 17th March 2020, the grapes were pressed on a gentle cycle. Fermentation of the clarified juice occurred using utilising indigenous yeast strains, in a combination of 85% stainless steel tanks and 15% neutral puncheons. A partial malolactic fermentation was employed to soften acidity and enhance mouthfeel, contributing to the wine's richness. The wine was aged on its lees and was bottled lightweight glass bottles, unfined and unfiltered in October 2020.
